The project involves the provision of passing lanes on the Coolgardie Esperance Highway to improve road safety by providing safe passing opportunities. Coolgardie Esperance Highway is part of the major transport route to the Australian Eastern States so has a high proportion of heavy vehicles mixed with passenger vehicles.
