The project was awarded to upgrade the feeder roads and to construct bus stops and related infrastructure for phase 1 of the Ekurhuleni IRPTN.

The main tasks included the following:
- widening of 5 intersections;
- mill and inlay asphalt;
- storm water management; and
- the construction of a clay brick walkway along the road in Kempton park.

In Tembisaa new bus depot and a clay brick walkway was also constructed.
