The works undertaken was the rehabilitation of sinkhole on the trunk road 5 section 4 between Danielskuil and Kuruman. After a sinkhole appeared Raubex Infra was contracted to create a bypass road. A permanent berm was created to stop any further erosion from rainfall. Mass earthworks was needed as well supplying and placing of rock fill. Once layers were completed dynamic compaction was used to compact the road area. To complete the project asphalt was used to rehabilitate the road surface and return it to its original state.
