TRONOX Namakwa Sands is relocating its West mine in pit ROM TIP, 1,2km south of the existing TIP.This project consists of a newly build ROM TIP complete with new conveyor infrastructure to the PCP West Plant.

Sections of work that were carried out included:
Construction (civil and earth works) of new retaining wall at ROM TIP position.
Construction of Primary crusher floor area.
Construction of Tip Bin and approach area.
Construction of Secondary crusher floor area.
Construction of Sacrificial conveyor bases & slab foundations.
Construction of TRUNK 2 conveyor bases & slab foundations.
Construction of TRUNK 1 conveyor bases & slab foundations.
Construction of BRANCH conveyor bases & slab foundations.
