Rosh Pinah to Oranjemund

The project was awarded to upgrade the Main Road 118, which stretches 100km from Oranjemund to Rosh Pinah.

Due to Client time constraints a ‘design-under-construction’ approach had to be adopted by the team, which means the Engineer and the Contractor had to work closely together in order to provide timely design information to the Contractor.

The net result was a road that both the Client and Engineer describe as the best road in Namibia. The road has significantly reduced accidents, travel time and travel costs for the residents of Oranjemund.

This project is an example of what can be achieved when the Engineer and Contractor work as a team. Not only were we able to save the Client time and money but we were able to deliver exceptional results of the highest quality.
